摘要: Many patients in pre-hospital and emergency care are under the influence of alcohol. In addition, some more common pathological conditions can introduce a behaviour that be mistaken to related alcohol inebriation. Fast quantitative determination breath concentration (BrAC) facilitates triage medical assessment, but shallow expirations performed by non-cooperative reduce measurement reliability. The aim this study was evaluate if analysis improved with use simultaneous expired carbon dioxide (CO2). With prototypes handheld analyser based on infrared transmission spectroscopy CO2 from 37 cooperative were measured. results show enhanced sampling pump estimation end expiratory BrAC ratio between measured partial pressure (\( P_{{{\text{CO}}_{2} }} \)) reference value alveolar \( \), provided adequate correlation blood (BAC). This pre-clinical has shown as tracer gas.
