摘要: Oleanolic acid and ursolic are pentacyclic triterpenoids isolated from a variety of medicinal plants, which have antibacterial activity. Listeria monocytogenes is Gram-positive facultative pathogen, being the causative agent listeriosis. The present study was carried out to evaluate in vitro effect sub-inhibitory concentrations both triterpene acids on pathogenicity determinants L. monocytogenes: their hemolytic activity biofilm forming ability. inhibited listeriolysin O without influencing toxin secretion. Biofilm formation, viability cells biofilms diminished by compounds. Thus, affected virulence. It also demonstrated that oleanolic bound peptidoglycan this interaction influenced teichoic acids.
