摘要: Chlorhexidine (CH) is cationic and it forms salts of low solubility with anions such as phosphate, sulfate carboxyl. Toothpastes contain anionic detergents, one the most widely used being sodium lauryl (SLS). The aim present study was to examine possible interaction between CH anion SLS in vivo. interference on antiplaque potential investigated. performed according a single blind cross over design, effect interval prerinsing an aqueous solution subsequent rinsing examined. examined by use Silness Loe plaque-index. results showed that even 30-min SLS- CH-rinsing gave significantly reduced CH, whereas neutralizing disappeared after 2 h. It can thus be concluded not compatible when these compounds are introduced separately oral cavity. time toothbrushing rinse should at least 30 min, if reduction antimicrobial avoided.
