摘要: We examined the role of residential segregation in 5+ daily fruit/vegetable consumption, exercise, and overweight/obesity among African Americans by linking data on 11,142 American adults 2000 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System to census metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs). Multi-level modeling revealed that after controlling for individual-level variables, MSA Segregation Poverty contributed alone overweight/obesity. These findings highlight need research built-environments segregated neighborhoods which most reside, suggest neighborhood disparities may contribute health disparities.
