摘要: Malaria remains one of the most serious public health problems in Africa causing high morbidity and mortality. In highly endemic areas malaria is responsible for about 30-50% fever cases 30% outpatient consultations 10-15% hospital admissions. Globally 1.5-2.7 million persons die from yearly. Children under 5 years pregnant women are vulnerable groups. Anaemia consequences young children particularly countries where a level chloroquine resistance exists. some zones temporary decline transmissions due to climatic ecological changes has altered immunological profile population resulting outbreaks epidemics accompanied by The African region been experiencing with an unacceptably disease burden mortality epidemic-prone East Southern Africa.
