摘要: We introduce drive-amplitude-modulation atomic force microscopy as a dynamic mode with outstanding performance in all environments from vacuum to liquids. As frequency modulation, the new follows feedback scheme two nested loops: The first keeps cantilever oscillation amplitude constant by regulating driving force, and second uses variable for topography. Additionally, phase-locked loop can be used parallel allowing separation of conservative nonconservative interactions. describe basis this present some examples its three different environments. Drive-amplutide modulation is very stable, intuitive easy use that free instability associated noncontact-to-contact transition occurs frequency-modulation mode.
