摘要: The relative growth of two lines rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) selectively bred for divergent plasma cortisol responsiveness to a confinement stressor (high-responders, HR; low-responders, LR) was evaluated over generations (F1, F2), both when reared separately and in co-culture. There no significant difference between the separately. However, co-culture, LR line significantly out-performed HR F1 F2 generations. It is likely that these results are related behavioural attributes characterise lines, rather than any differences physiology. disparity co-culture may be linked greater degree competitiveness/aggressiveness exhibited by fish those line, or another as yet unidentified trait. implications exploitation aquaculture discussed.
