摘要: The mitochondrial uncoupling protein, a protein essential for the thermogenic properties of brown fat in mammals, is inserted inner membrane by means six alpha-helical hydrophobic transmembrane domains. We have sequenced complete cDNA and parts gene to determine that composed exons, each which encodes domain. also show transcription from single start site; however, use alternative poly(A) addition signal sequences results two mRNAs, major species 1221 nucleotides, not including tail, minor about 1600 nucleotides. 5′-untranslated region mRNA 231 3′-untranslated contains 81 nucleotides prior tail.
