摘要: What is known about radiation exposure to physicians who perform cardiac interventions reviewed and various factors that affect their are discussed. There wide variations in the dose (up 1000-fold) per procedure. Despite extensive improvements equipment technology, there has been little or no reduction over time. The variation lack of operator doses strongly suggests more attention must be paid influencing dose. Numerous patient, physician shielding influence different degrees. Operators can change some these immediately, at minimal cost, with a substantial potential cancer risk.
