摘要: The aim of this retrospective study was to determine the predictive value alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels for histologic findings in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Data on 864 HCV RNA-positive were collected. ALT values obtained at time biopsy (before treatment), and normal defined as serial evaluations during a 6-month period. Histologic results scored using METAVIR system. Among all patients, 99% those elevated had score least F1 (positive [PPV], 99%) 88% greater than A1F1. persistently values, 65% (negative [NPV], 35%) 26% receiver operating characteristics analysis indicates that threshold best compromise sensitivity-specificity about 2.25 times upper limit (ULN). In conclusion, almost have some degree fibrosis. However, an important proportion also show signs fibrosis; fibrosis is usually mild but sometimes more marked, rare cases cirrhosis may be present. subset indication liver potential benefit therapy need further evaluated. These suggest revisit algorithm practice.
