摘要: Abstract The permeability coefficients of Novikoff hepatoma ascites cell membranes for tritiated water (3HHO) and a homologous series monohydric alcohols (methanol through hexanol) were deduced from linear diffusion by means series-parallel pathway model (Redwood et al. (1974) J. Gen. Physiol. 64, 706–729). Membrane 3HHO at 20, 30 37°C (all X10−5) 97, 125, 163 cm · s−1, respectively, significantly smaller than the corresponding values tested. In alcohol series, ethanol had lowest coefficient 198 10−5 s−1 20°C. apparent activation energy permeation was 6.7 ± 1.9 S.E. kcal mol−1. membrane complex function molecular properties with less diffusional resistance to in middle would have been expected on basis oil-water partitioning or molar volume considerations. conventional parallel aqueous lipophilic is not consistent present data which can be interpreted consideration pathways membrane.
