摘要: Cancer is a genetic disorder that arises from gene mutations as well changes in transcriptional and epigenetic profiles. These can serve valuable biomarkers for early detection, staging, detailed molecular characterization of cancer individualized therapy. Mutations several known oncogenes (e.g., EGFR, HER2, KRAS) tumor suppressor genes TP53, PTEN, PI3K) are already being used to guide therapy breast cancer, ovarian lung prostate etc. However, heterogeneity instability genomes poses significant challenge reliable reproducible detection biomarkers. Moreover, multigene comprehensive knowledge the mutational landscape extremely important most effective therapeutic intervention.
