摘要: There are three known isoforms of the thyroid hormone receptor (TR) in rat: TR alpha-1, beta-1, and beta-2. The alpha-1 beta-1 mRNAs found many tissues, whereas beta-2 mRNA is detected only pituitary gland. Thus far, have been humans highly homologous to their counterparts rats; however, has not yet demonstrated humans. To examine expression these TRs at protein level, we raised isoform-specific polyclonal antibodies female New Zealand White rabbits against rat c-erbA alpha-2, a carboxy-terminal variant that does bind hormone. were immunized with synthetic peptides contained following amino acid sequences: alpha-common-(10-31), alpha-2-(428-442), beta-1-(73-93), beta-2-(86-101, 113-133). All immune sera could specifically respective immunizing on enzyme-linked immunosorbent ass...
