摘要: Abstract Aim The aim of the study was to investigate hyoid bone anomalies in patients with Pierre Robin sequence (PRS) compared control group, using computed tomography (CT) examination and three-dimensional reconstruction mandible. Methods A retrospective performed between birth 12 months old isolated PRS (i-PRS) syndromic (ni-PRS), who had undergone CT examination, whose results were group same age. DICOM data processed highlight tissue. mandible bones main targets reconstruction. outcomes analysis ossification, volume, position (distance mandibular symphysis). Univariate multivariate statistical analyses α = 0.05 as level significance. Results sample included 29 i-PRS 21 ni-PRS patients, while 43 infants group. Hyoid ossification present 26/50 (52%) (14 i-PRS; ni-PRS) but 31/43 controls (72%). Statistical showed that absence significantly associated diagnosis (P  Conclusion I-PRS differ both etiologically clinically. Ni-PRS confirmed their worst clinical condition than severe development, helping for ontogeny classification.
