摘要: Encounters and interactions between healthcare professionals patients are central in services delivery. Encountering persons who frequently use psychiatric emergency (PES), a complex patient group context, may be particularly challenging for professionals. The aim of the study was to explore professionals' experiences such encounters. Data were collected via individual interviews (N = 19) focus interview with consisting nurses, assistant physicians. data analyzed qualitative content analysis. This focused on latent gain rich understanding Two themes identified: "Nurturing encounter oneself colleagues continuous, professional improvement" "Striving meaningful connection patient". experienced their encounters PES as caring, professional, humane processes. Prerequisites those knowing oneself, having self-acceptance self-compassion, working within person-centered cultures care environments.
