Categorizing "frequent visitors" in the psychiatric emergency room: a semistructured interview study.

摘要: Nurses can become demoralized and hostile toward frequent visitors in psychiatric emergency rooms because of the number visits. The aim this study was to develop more knowledge about ways which nurses categorize visitors. Eleven were interviewed, their categorizing practices examined from a social constructionist perspective. results showed that did not as particularly unlikeable or difficult treat. Like other visitors, they could be categorized if obstructed smooth flow successful referrals through room and/or there poor rapport with nurses.
