摘要: Abstract Thin-walled energy absorbers are one of the common structures that used in vehicle body for increasing crashworthiness and consequently decreasing injuries. Investigated new type thin-walled aluminum matrix a steel punch absorber structure has been investigated this paper. Energy is absorbed as expansion followed by simultaneous folding. Present study proposes sandwich panel based on expanding-folding units to evaluate their crush mechanism. Parametric done using finite element code LS-DYNA while experimental tests have implemented validate FE model. The panels tested under three axial quasi-static loading conditions including rigid half-cylinder plate. considers angle, thickness thickness. optimum absorption then structural member until with high specific be introduced. Also it seen all curves section can estimated polynomial second order functions, accuracy.
