摘要: Chromatography of the fungal sesquiterpene merulidial (1a) on alumina gel resulted in its rapid oxidation to give hydroxylated derivative 2a and deformylated 3. Compared with compound 4, obtained previously by pyridinium chlorochromate, configuration C-9 is inverted.
