摘要: The purpose of the study was to compare conductance and mannitol permeability canine colonic mucosa in response carprofen or 2,4-dinitrophenol (DNP) with without tempol pretreatment. Ten sections per dog were mounted Ussing chambers. Treatments done duplicate. Mucosa exposed (200 μg/mL) DNP (0.25 mM), both (1 mM) Conductance calculated every 15 min for 240 min. Mannitol flux over 3 consecutive 60-minute periods. Histology electron microscopy after exposure. time, flux, frequency histologic categories, microscopic changes analyzed treatment effects. mean ± standard deviation (SD) time DNP-treated colons not significantly different from control regardless Period fluxes colon different, but greater than control. + less colon. Sloughing cells erosions seen carprofen-treated Mitochondrial damage more often Tempol pretreatment resulted ruptured mitochondria colon; however, other mitochondrial affected by either treated Treatment increased mitigated effect. It is apparent that structural occurs
