摘要: Abstract Polymers are large molecules composed of repeating monomer units. Variations in the composition and number monomers, average size, distribution, microstructure, functional groups attached to basic units create thousands different polymer substances with a wide range physicochemical properties suit variety uses. In recent years, time-of-flight mass spectrometry (TOF MS), especially tandem matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization (MALDI), plays complimentary but vital role characterization. The spectrum provides wealth data regarding structure, composition, functionality individual specie. This unique information from MS is necessary elucidating structure–property–activity relations. use MALDI–TOF analysis can be extended study fate degradation aqueous environment.
