Nursing students' experiences of the clinical learning environment in nursing homes: a questionnaire study using the CLES+T evaluation scale

摘要: Summary Background One major challenge facing the health care systems worldwide is growing demand for registered nurses able to provide qualified nursing a vulnerable population. Positive learning experiences during clinical practice influence not only outcomes, but also how students reason in relation future career choices. Objectives To investigate student nurses' of environment homes, and compare perceptions among with or without prior work experience as assistants elderly care. Design A cross-sectional study was designed, utilising Swedish version CLES + T evaluation scale. Methods 260 (response rate 76%) who had completed five week long placement homes returned questionnaire data collection period 2011–2012. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics. Mann–Whitney U -test used examine differences Results Overall, evaluated predominantly positive way. The sub-dimension Supervisory relationship displayed highest mean value, lowest score calculated Leadership style ward manager. Statistical significant between sub-groups four out 34 items. Conclusion supervisory greatest impact on experienced homes. It therefore, utmost importance that collaborative activities, educational home settings, supporting preceptors are established maintained.
