摘要: Abstract Objective The Well-Integrated Screening and Evaluation for Women Across the Nation (WISEWOMAN) is a program designed financially disadvantaged women ages 40–64 funded by Centers Disease Control Prevention (CDC). This study investigates role that travel distance plays in determining whether these will attend an intervention program. Method Iowa WISEWOMAN were offered optional health care education Distance from woman's house to class site was calculated participants October 2002 through July 2005 resulting 787 women. A generalized additive model used combined effects of distance, demographic variables, lifestyle variables on session or not. Results important attendance, although its impact depends age woman setting (urban rural) intervention. In particular, older rural much more likely if close home.
