Biopsy planning system

摘要: Guided biopsy is a commonly used method to remove suspicious tissues from an internal organ for pathological tests so that malignancy can be established. Provided herein are systems and methods (i.e., utilities) allow automated application of one or more predefined target plans acquired medical image including without limitation, ultrasound prostate image. Due different shapes sizes prostates as well orientation with respect probe during image, acquisition simple model (e.g., ellipse) fixed plan may not sufficient. Accordingly, it has been determined deformable shape integrated locations/sites fit provide improved targeting.
