摘要: This review will focus on the clinical utilities of telomerase for human cancer diagnosis. Much attention has been focused detection activity and its essential components (hTR hTERT) in noncancerous tissues. Expression hTR hTERT is upregulated almost all malignant tumors but not benign or normal tissues with exception germline cells, proliferative stem activated lymphocytes, certain tumors. Thus, a useful marker diagnosis some instance as prognostic indicator outcome. Telomerase cells derived from breast fine needle aspirates, bronchial washes, pancreatic juices show high sensitivity specificity detection.
