摘要: The aim of this study was to describe resting pulse rate and associated factors among adolescents. This a cross-sectional analysis nested in prospective cohort study, including 4,452 adolescents born Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil 1993, representing 87.5% the original cohort. Pulse measured with an electronic device at beginning end interview, mean value used analyses. Mean 78.4bpm (SD = 11.0) total sample, 76.5bpm 10.7) boys, 80.2bpm 10.9; p < 0.001) girls. Black showed lower rates. There direct association between blood pressure. Physical activity inversely crude only. Elevated is strongly high pressure, both variables are predictors risk chronic disease adulthood.
