Antioxidant and cytotoxic potential of methanol extract of Tabernaemontana divaricata leaves

摘要: The methanolic extract obtained from the leaves of Tabernaemontana divericata (Family: Apocynaceae) was evaluated for in vitro antioxidant potential by determination total capacity, assay nitric oxide scavenging activity and reducing power test. also screened its cytotoxic effect using brine shrimp lethality bioassay. results revealed potent property all assays compared to reference antioxidant, ascorbic acid a dose dependent manner. Further, showed significant (LC50: 3.12µg/ml) with positive control, Vincristine Sulphate 0.331µg/ml).
