摘要: Activation of the complement cascade is one mechanisms through which endotoxin may cause acute lung damage. The structural and functional changes following infusion complement-activated plasma are described. In five anesthetized open-chest sheep, authors monitored pulmonary systemic artery pressures for 1 hour before 4 hours start zymosan-activated (ZAP) (2 ml/min over a 20-minute period). Cardiac output, blood gases, number circulating white cells were also measured. addition, we took biopsy tissue at baseline, 7.5, 15, 30, 60, 120, 180, 240 minutes infusion. Lung lymph flow protein concentration in 2 sheep. Following ZAP there was an early phase leukopenia marked hypertension, followed by characterized modest increase protein-rich lymph. By light microscopy sequestration granulocytes evident just 7.5 Peripheral increased threefold above control values minutes, increasing to sevenfold 30 minutes. Electron-microscopic studies showed that some disrupted, specific azurophilic granules seen lumen. 15 endothelial damage apparent, intravascular monocytes surrounded proteinaceous coat. Edema accumulation infiltration inflammatory lungs' connective regions hours. From hours, injury less marked, peripheral granulocytes, fewer. Sequestration occurred with onset hypertension leukopenia, most when severe. Transient edema preceded physiologic interpreted as vascular permeability. Although least great endotoxemia, unlike caused only transient
