摘要: The signalling activities of Merlin and Moesin, two closely related members the protein 4.1 Ezrin/Radixin/Moesin family, are regulated by conformational changes. These changes in turn phosphorylation. same sterile 20 kinase-Slik co-regulates or Moesin activity whereby phosphorylation inactivates Merlin, but activates Moesin. Thus, corresponding coordinate activation inactivation would require coordinated phosphatase activity. We find that Drosophila melanogaster type 1 β (flapwing) fulfils this role, co-regulating dephosphorylation altered both detected a complex with Flapwing in-vitro in-vivo. Directed flapwing expression result levels following reduction associated concomitant defects epithelial integrity increase apoptosis developing tissues such as wing imaginal discs. Functionally, can be partially recapitulated over proteins mimic constitutively phosphorylated unphosphorylated Our results suggest lead to organization.
