摘要: During gastrulation in the mouse, pluripotent embryonic ectoderm cells form three primary germ layers, ectoderm, mesoderm and endoderm. Little is known about mechanisms responsible for these processes, but evidence from previous studies amphibians, as well expression mammals, suggest that signalling molecules of Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) family may play a role gastrulation. To determine whether this might be case FGF-5 mouse embryo, we carried out RNA situ hybridization to when where early postimplantation embryo Fgf-5 gene expressed. We chose study particular member FGF because had previously observed its pattern cultures teratocarcinoma cell aggregates consistent with proposal plays vivo. The results reported here show increases dramatically just prior gastrulation, restricted forming layers during not detectable any once formation virtually complete. Based on provocative light what functions vitro other members family, hypothesize an autocrine manner stimulate mobility contribute or render them competent respond inductive positional signals.
