Well-being and attainment in Scottish education: a capabilities approach

摘要: The aim of fostering well-being has become central to Scottish educational policy, in part because a need address the impact inequalities income, wealth, power and inclusion. But, dominated by human capital picture enterprising, entrepreneurial individual whose is tied particular socio-economic outcomes desired government focused on developing competitive economy, current approaches education policy primarily reflect conception as approximating skill be developed for benefit economy. This dissertation presents an alternative education, based capabilities approach, mainly articulated Martha Nussbaum.
