Fluconazole prophylaxis against invasive candidiasis in very low and extremely low birth weight preterm neonates: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

摘要: BACKGROUND Evidence shows that fluconazole prophylaxis is an effective treatment against invasive fungal infections in preterm neonates, however, the most efficient schedule of for colonization and mortality candidiasis (IC) unknown. PURPOSE This systematic review meta-analysis aimed to assess efficiency different prophylactic schedules controlling IC colonization, infection, very low birth weight (VLBW) extremely (ELBW) infants neonatal intensive care units. METHODS We searched PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Cochrane databases using keywords "candida," "invasive candidiasis," "IC," "fluconazole prophylaxis," "preterm infants," "very "VLBW," "extremely weight," "ELBW." RESULTS Mortality was significantly decreased a metaanalysis studies regimens. The also indicated significant decrease incidence IC-associated ELBW same schedules. CONCLUSION Future should explore effectiveness other on mortality.
