Growth, Optical, and Field Emission Properties of Aligned CdS Nanowires

摘要: Here, we demonstrate the synthesis of aligned CdS nanowires by a solvothermal process where alignment was controlled tuning reaction conditions. The normal and photoassisted field emission properties were studied. turn-on is found to be 0.68 V/μm which much lower than reported values. From I−t plot, it shown that current remains nearly constant over 4 h at preset value 5 μA. Upon illumination, photofield shows reproducible switching property with rise in level almost 50% initial value. indicate promising applications based devices.
