摘要: This paper presents analyses future powering options for LNG carriers when considering the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI). The IMO has recently approved amendments to MARPOL Annex 6 extend application of EEDI include Carriers (LNGCs). investigates impacts this upcoming regulation, due be enforced from September 2015, will have on design LNGCs. study found that current reference baseline is insufficient stimulate improvements in LNGCs because Dual Fuel Diesel Electric (DFDE) propulsion proposed installed majority orders already achieves values are compliant with baseline.
