Progression of arterial stiffness and coronary atherosclerosis: longitudinal evaluation by cardiac CT.

摘要: OBJECTIVE. We sought to use cardiac CT angiography (CTA) longitudinally examine the relationship between changes in aortic stiffness and of atherosclerotic burden over time. MATERIALS AND METHODS. One hundred sixty-four patients with suspected coronary artery disease underwent two retrospectively ECG-gated CTA studies an average 12 ± 10 months apart. Arterial was represented by distensibility index (ADI) atherosclerosis segment involvement score (SIS) (defined as number segments per patient displaying plaque).
