Diversity and host specificity of monogenean gill parasites (Platyhelminthes) of cichlid fishes in the Bangweulu-Mweru ecoregion

摘要: This study represents the first exploration of parasite fauna cichlid fishes in Mweru-Luapula subregion (Central Africa). Twelve species cichlids and 14 Monogenea from three genera (Cichlidogyrus, Gyrodactylus Scutogyrus) were collected. We present a record gill eight host species, Oreochromis mweruensis, Orthochromis sp. ‘Mambilima’, Sargochromis mellandi, Serranochromis angusticeps, S. stappersi, thumbergi Tylochromis mylodon.
