Insulators can disrupt weak transcription derived from the white gene enhancer in Drosophila transgenic lines

摘要: Increasing evidence suggests that noncoding RNA transcribed from the enhancers play an important role in regulation of gene transcription. Insulators are regulatory elements limit activity and form independent transcriptional domains. Using a transgenic lines, we show Fab-7 insulator bithorax complex MDG4 (gypsy) able to disrupt weak transcription derived enhancer regulating white expression eyes. The ability insulators may enhancer-blocking activity.
