摘要: Esophageal carcinosarcoma is a rare malignant neoplasm consisting of both carcinomatous and sarcomatous components. It generally treated by surgery, radiotherapy chemotherapy according to the protocols used for other esophageal cancers. However, treatment alone before surgery has not been previously described. We report patient with rapidly growing that was efficiently reduced neoadjuvant alone. A healthy 69-year-old man admitted dysphagia. Initial esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) revealed small nodular polypoid lesion about 10 mm in middle esophagus. second EGD 1 month later showed tumor had expanded into huge mass. biopsy specimen comprised squamous cell carcinoma spindle components, diagnosed as which stage I (T1bN0M0). Due renal dysfunction, (40 Gy) without chemotherapy. third remarkable reduction. He then underwent total esophagectomy regional lymph node dissection (pStage 0, pT1aN0M0). After surgical operation, followed up adjuvant therapy. Whole body computed tomography lung metastasis 14 months after died 2 later. The considered have contributed subsequent his prolonged survival time. Thus, might be suitable therapy carcinosarcomas.
