摘要: Metastatic spread of cancer is a leading cause for the loss life from this disease. In metastatic cascade, cells undergo multifaceted phenotypic transformations that include breakdown extracellular matrix (ECM) encasing tumor, cell migration and invasion surrounding tissues, relocation in secondary organs. Recently multitasking protein, A Disintegrin Metalloprotease-12 (ADAM-12), has attracted particular interest because its potential roles tumor growth development by facilitating remodeling are so essential metastasis. ADAM-12 an active metalloproteinase; it regulates release factors capable promoting cell–cell cell–matrix adhesion signaling as well. Overexpression reported many types human cancers. Furthermore, statistical correlation between urinary levels breast bladder patients progression been found. These results suggested could be used diagnostic marker. addition to cancers, increase expression linked pathogenesis osteoarthritis, cardiac hypertrophy, Alzheimer’s disease, well during high-fat diet-induced obesity. This review meant provide broad overview regulatory pathways which expressed contribute towards development, accelerate progression, better understanding regulation multifunctional protein new therapeutic option.
