摘要: Familial hypercholesterolaemia is a highly prevalent, treatable, dominant genetic disorder that accelerates morbidity and mortality due to premature cardiovascular disease by several decades. Early detection treatment of familial offers one the most effective interventions for further reduction in incidence coronary disease, stroke peripheral vascular disease. Public health strategies address differ, but lack implementation common feature worldwide. This review compares contrasts two main case-finding strategies, family cascade screening universal screening. Strengths weaknesses are identified both techniques. Differences between these public will be considered context etiological, social, cultural, medical economic variations occur internationally.
