摘要: Publisher Summary Two generations of vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) models can be distinguished. This chapter describes a first generation model VOR. The describe the VOR as an isolated system with uncontrollable characteristics. Most are limited to description smooth compensatory eye movements induced by vestibular stimulations. Only few them try interpret nystagmus for what concerns both its slow and fast phases. In latter, two distinct pathways generally assumed, one controlling movement during phase other programming saccades. provides reports some experimental results proving plasticity VOR, presents second that plastic behavior. It develops new explain many characteristics vestibularly possible. Any or revised will give challenge physiologist oriented experiments which, in turns, provide additional data further modeling efforts. presented have considered contribution trial error process.
