摘要: Calcipotriene has been shown to be safe and effective for the treatment of psoriasis. For scalp psoriasis, safety advantage this non-steroid agent is as important its efficacy. Even though monotherapy with calcipotriene solution may not always efficacious severe many patients are managed effectively a sequential therapy regimen consisting 3 phases. In phase 1 (clearing), apply clobetasol or gel in morning evening daily 2 weeks. After psoriasis improves, reduced weekends applied on weekdays (phase 2, transitional). Phase maintenance alone prevent recurrence. recalcitrant psoriasis-where only clobetasol-strength, superpotent topical corticosteroid effective-a flip-flop proposed that allows safe, prolonged use by limiting twice day 2-week periods minimum weeks during corticosteroid-free in-between periods.
