摘要: Depression is the most common psychiatric disease worldwide. With demographic balance shifting towards an older population, number of adults with a lifetime history depression or subthreshold will be significant over next decades. serious that affects not only person suffering from depression, but also social environment oft he person. The course late-life characterized by high recurrence and relapse rates. Little known about causes this adverse in persons. During last half 20th century, life expectancy rapidly increased marked appearance growth vulnerable group persons. This shift age distribution resulted introduction term frailty. Frailty condition conferring vulnerability to poor physical health outcomes, due loss reserve capacity aging body. The associations between frailty are investigated thesis. We found prevalence much higher depressed persons, than non-depressed persons predicts severity depressive symptoms chronic depression. Frailty can useful construct detect particularly within at risk more depression. Since potentially reversible targeted specific interventions such as exercise, vitamin D supplementation reduction polypharmacy, it guide treatment.
