摘要: Four human melanoma xenograft lines (A-07, D-12, R-18, U-25) grown orthotopically in Balb/c nu/nu mice were characterized with respect to the fraction of radiobiologically hypoxic cells. The purpose study was establish a firm radiobiological basis for future use development and evaluation non-invasive assays tumour hypoxia. fractions assessed using three different assays, single cell survival assay, growth delay assay local control means +/- s.e. found be 6 3%, 3 1% 5 2% respectively (A-07), 26 5%, 25 6% 22 (D-12), 55 9%, 65 8% 48 7% (R-18) 52 8%, 59 47 (U-25). gave numerical values that not significantly any lines. differed among lines; R-18 U-25 showed higher than D-12 line (P < 0.05), which turn A-07 regardless assay. wide range significant differences suggest A-07, D-12. tumours should useful models studies attempting develop
