摘要: As part of a comprehensive study the common barn-owl (Tyto alba Scopoli) in southwestern New Jersey, we captured and examined owls for ectoparasites during May–July nesting seasons 1986 1987. We 179 young ( 5 wk old) adult appeared to be relatively free flies, infestation downy nestlings by C. hemapterus was common.
