摘要: C-type lectins play important roles in innate immunity as pattern recognition receptors (PRRs). We have previously reported a novel lectin HaCTL7 from the cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera) which contains two carbohydrate-recognition domains (CRDs), namely N-terminal CRD1 and C-terminal CRD2. Interestingly, there are four but not six of conserved cysteine residues CRD2 HaCTL7, is different that other dual CRD lectins. In current study, we expressed purified recombinant (rHaCTL7) well rCRD1 rCRD2, demonstrated both rHaCTL7 rCRD1, owned agglutinate ability against Gram-negative Gram-positive bacteria calcium dependent manner. addition, could bind to various bacteria, enhanced haemocytes mediated encapsulation melanization processes. secreted fat bodies able granulocytes, plasmatocytes oenocytoids, spherulocytes. Recombinant rCRD2 capable binding granulocytes while can only granulocytes. Our data suggest PRR enhances likely through its CRD2, CRD1, imply characteristic structure plays key immunity.
