摘要: This article discusses the impact behavioral responses of opaque bi-layered metal bonded hybrid composites from geometrically equivalent transparent plastic specimens. Low velocity drop weight experiments were conducted on bi-material laminated plates made brittle acrylic sheet adhesively with ductile polycarbonate layer by a compatible room temperature cure epoxy. Depending nature face (brittle or ductile) battered impactor, induced damage are characterized either as partial complete interface failure that leads to formation radial cracks spalling fracture in layer. The influence relative constituent thickness towards resistance and resultant structural integrity extensively discussed. obtained results similitude study it possible understand behavior fibre laminates under similar conditions. In addition through numerical simulations, energy dissipated via work layers was found be dominant only source create significant difference absorption between hard soft side samples.
