Who receives depression-specific treatment? A secondary data-based analysis of outpatient care received by over 780,000 statutory health-insured individuals diagnosed with depression

摘要: This study examined the effects of individual and regional characteristics on receiving depression-specific treatment in statutory health-insured population Bavaria (83% population). Data Association Statutory Health Insurance Physicians were analysed for prevalence, diagnosis depression outpatient care by considering characteristics. Prevalence diagnosed was 9.2% aged 18–100 years. More than half all individuals with (F32.x/F33.x) more one-third persons severe (F32.2/.3 F33.2/.3) did not receive treatment. Rates a higher females, middle aged, diagnoses, those psychiatric comorbidity without physical living rural areas. The pathways to moderate need be improved. Training physicians, stepped approaches, psycho-education patients anti-stigma campaigns are possible measures reach this goal. knowledge that influence is important target groups at increased risk under-treatment.
