摘要: Xanthohumol (XN), a prenylflavonoid derived from the hop plant (Humulus lupulus L.) has been found to exhibit broad spectrum of biological properties, including anti-cancer activity. In this study, mechanisms involved in activity XN human RK33 and RK45 larynx cancer cell lines were investigated. The effect on viability normal cells (human skin fibroblasts HSF rat oligodendroglia-derived cells, OLN-93) was compared. Additionally, influence proliferation, cycle progression, induction apoptosis as well molecular underlying these processes analyzed. promoted reduction but showed low cytotoxicity cells. decrease coupled with via two pathways. effects associated growth inhibition by arrest G1 phase, increased p53 p21/WAF1 expression levels, downregulation cyclin D1 Bcl-2, activation caspases-9, -8, -3. Moreover, compound inhibited phosphorylation ERK1/2, suggesting key role ERKs pathway XN-mediated suppressing against studied These results indicate that could be used potential agent for treatment patients cancer.
