摘要: Long chain ω3 and ω6 fatty acids taurine have been suggested to structural and/or functional roles in the brain. In this study levels of breast milk their correlations were investigated 46 lactating women from an area 100 km north-east Beijing, China. The subjects consisted two groups: group 1 was 22-47 days postpartum 2 75-106 postpartum. Fatty measured by gas-liquid chromatography high-performance liquid chromatography, respectively. relative compositions long decreased significantly (20:3 ω6, 20:4 22:4 22:5 22:6 ω3; all P < 0.01) course lactation, while saturated (20:0, 22:0) monounsaturated (20:1, 22:1) tended increase. ratio ω6/ω3 fat appeared be higher (12.3 ± 4.3 for 1, 16.5 7.4 2) than desired range 4-10. Breast concentrations Chinese rural mothers 186 48 nmol/mL 157 65 groups 2, A inverse relationship observed between concentration arachidonic acid docosahexaenoic (r = -0.323, 0.028). Further studies on physiological function(s) as antioxidant a neurotransmitter are worth pursuing relation balance acids, especially regards its role retina brain development.
