摘要: In the present study, methanolic, hydro-methanolic, dichloromethane, hexane and aqueous extracts of Salvia ceratophylla L. (Family: Lamiaceae), a lemon-scented herb, were tested for total phenolic (TPC) flavonoid content (TFC) antioxidant activities evaluated using battery assays (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), ferric reducing power (FRAP), cupric capacity, capacity (TAC) (phosphomolybdenum) metal chelating). Enzyme inhibitory effects investigated acetyl- (AChE), butyryl-cholinesterase (BChE), tyrosinase, α-amylase α-glucosidase as target enzymes. Regarding cytotoxic abilities, HepG2, B164A5 S17 cell lines used. The phytochemical profile was conducted liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Our data showed that methanolic aerial possessed highest (72.50 ± 0.63 mg gallic acid equivalent per g) (43.77 1.09 rutin contents. hydro-methanolic extract significant DPPH radical scavenging activity (193.40 0.27 TE potential against CUPRAC (377.93 2.38 g). best tyrosinase observed with dichloromethane root (125.45 1.41 kojic Among extracts, exerted antimicrobial minimum concentration value 0.048 mL−1. Methanolic lowest cytotoxicity (28%) HepG2 cells. Phytochemical analysis revealed presence important polyphenolic compounds including luteolin, acid, rosmarinic to name few. This research can be used one methodological starting point further investigations on this herb.
